  •             Do you ever feel like there’s just too much information to keep track off? With all the constant changes in our community it is a challenge to have a full understanding of the town happenings. The League of Women Voters of Wheaton recognizes this struggle and wants to help all voters have access to up-to-date information on the town’s politics. Since 1951 they have provided non-partisan information for voters so that everyone can be informed and be confident in their vote. They serve Wheaton, Carol Stream, Warrenville, West Chicago and Winfield.

The League of Women Voters of Wheaton is made of men as well as women of all ages.  It’s a fun group of people who get work done to help educate the community. Their website is user-friendly so people can receive clear information and they host multiple public programs throughout the year. Those public programs include lectures on the most current and important topics. In March, there will be one on Gun Control as a Mental Health Issue. High school students are encouraged to attended. This Spring there will also be multiple Drinks & Discussions events which will be a great opportunity to learn.

It’s easy to get involved in the League of Women Voters of Wheaton. You can receive their monthly newsletter, attend public events, or help with voter registration at high schools. Membership is an even better way to get connected and make an impact. All you have to be is 18 years or older to join. With a membership you can attend more events like book clubs, salad suppers before meetings, holiday parties, and their annual May meeting. You also gain access to more state and national level information. Now is the time to get involved, because the local elections are approaching in the Spring. Make sure you’re in the know so you can be a confident voter.
