  • Visit People's Resource Center Online!

  •             People’s Resource Center has bringing neighbors together since 1975. It began from simply handing out groceries to neighbors in need from a small house in Wheaton. Now PRC has grown to a multi-site organization and their 2,000 volunteers help nearly 32,000 DuPage residents with receiving food and other basic human needs.  PRC provides DuPage County residents access to a large food pantry, clothes closet, and some financial assistance.

Volunteers are also passionate about helping improve the quality of lives of neighbors.  Many put hours of their time to help teach neighbors.  The programs include computer classes, adult learning & literacy, art classes, and job assistance.  PRC’s computer lab is a great place to learn new computer skills and it is open for the public to use during certain hours.  The job assistance program is a popular one that pairs individuals up to mentors to help guide them on job searching and practice interview skills.

Looking to volunteer with this great organization? Anyone over 8 years old can volunteer at People’s Resource Center. There’s a wide range of volunteer opportunities including being a class instructor, helping in the food pantry, organizing the clothing closet, and helping in the office.  Check out People’s Resource Center’s website for their volunteer application!
