  • Visit the Theosophical Society Online!

  •             The Theosophical Society in America’s mission is to encourage open-minded inquiry into world religions, philosophy, science, and the arts in order to understand the wisdom of the ages, respect the unity of all life, and help people explore spiritual self-transformation.  Wheaton actually became the national headquarters of the Theosophical Society in American in 1926.  It is a place where visitors may participate in courses, workshops, and retreats, or attend lectures and seminars on a wide variety of spiritual topics.  Their campus features 40 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, including a world-class library, the Quest Book Shop, an outdoor labyrinth and a Buddha Meditation Garden.

Each year the Theosophical Society hosts TheosoFest, a mind-body-spirit festival. Make sure to keep an eye of for next year’s TheosoFest in September so you and your family can enjoy this free outdoor festival.  It features a wide range of spiritual topics, over 100 holistic vendors, an interactive Kids’ Korner, meditation classes and more. Every year it turns out to be an amazing day that has over 2,000 visitors attend.

For 90 years, they have served the community by providing the resources for and encouraging individual search and belief, and by promoting a willingness to judiciously examine any concept and belief with an open mind, and respect for other people’s beliefs.  If you are interested in mind-body-spirit endeavors, check out the Theosophical Society of America’s programs and library.  There’s Thursday Lecture Series and regular yoga and tai chi classes – something for everyone and all are welcome!
