Business After Hours Builds Your Business Network

Building relationships is the key to building a business. We offer relaxed opportunities to meet new members and get to know others better.  All Business After Hours are free to attend, and with Chamber help, easy to host.

One Business After Hours is scheduled per month, except in a month of heavy activity such as September when Autumn Fest takes place. Check out our calendar to learn about upcoming events. Two Business After Hours will also function as a reception for new members.

Promote your business by hosting An upcoming Business After Hours

A great way to make a splash with Chamber members is to host a Business After Hours. Here are the details:

• Any member can host a Business After Hours.
• Scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis.
• We kindly request that as host you provide appetizers / food, beverages of your choice, and raffle prize(s).
• You can advertise by having the Chamber send one-color postcards promoting your event to our membership and all of their contacts (approximately 1000 people). The cost is $350 and covers our expenses of postcard design, printing, and mailing.

To help you host a Business After Hours, the Chamber will:

• Promote your event in the Advantage newsletter (if scheduled before newsletter goes to print), in our semi-monthly e-connection, in the Community Connections section of The Wheaton Sun and The Wheaton Leader, in flyers at luncheons or events prior to your Business After Hours, and by email reminder to the membership 2-3 days before your event.
• Create and bring a mixer / game for your guests to play if you would like. Please request this ahead of time so the Chamber can plan accordingly.
• Check-in guests at your event and collect business cards on your behalf.

We firmly believe that our events are not only fun but also a phenomenal way to meet other members of the chamber and business community. We consider our events a member benefit and welcome prospective members to join up to two events to discover the advantages of being involved. If you are unsure if membership is appropriate for you after attending two events, please let us know and we will be happy to address your questions or concerns. We welcome previous members to re-join the chamber in order to attend events.
