    Event Description:

    Gary United Methodist Church will once again host the annual celebration of the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This event welcomes people of all races, faith traditions, ethnic backgrounds, and economic classes, along with public, educational, business and religious leaders to celebrate Dr. King on this national holiday. This year’s theme is “Living the Dream,” and the keynote speaker is Rev. Harold Middlebrook, a friend of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and an active member of the civil rights movement. Rev. Middlebrook served on the Strategy Committee of the Community on the Move for Equality (COME) and founded the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Commission of Greater Knoxville.
     
    All residents of DuPage County are invited to join their neighbors at this event.
