    Job Description
    Start date: February 4, 2019
    Hours: 40 hours/week until April 15 (end of tax season)
    Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM w/1 hour lunch
    Rate: $15/hour
    In this position, you will be asked to perform general office work, answering phones and assisting with the scanning of confidential tax return documentation for clients (1040 individual returns and 1041 trust returns). Other administrative tasks may include filing, working with documents in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat and other duties as needed.  During our busy tax season, this position requires you to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Overtime on Saturdays may be optional.
    Tasks and Responsibilities
    • Scan confidential tax materials into our filing system
    • Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
    • Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, faxing and mailing
    • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
    • Retrieve documents from filing system
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments for tax preparers
    Education and Experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in an administrative assistant role (reception, records management)
    • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
    • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
    • An understanding of principles and practices of basic office management
